New Year's celebration was quiet. There was rumours and emails circulating that there would be an uprising of some sort against Asian owned cottage businesses, but thank God that nothing serious was attempted.
In terms of people getting drunk and making noise, there was plenty of that. From people who made New Year's resolutions that they will quit drinking, and those who saw it as an opportunity to indulge themselves knowing that the next day would be a public holiday and they could sleep in. All in all, it was a fairly "normal"New Year's!
Happy New Year's to one and all and may 2010 be a year of blessing and fulfillment!
